Hamilton County Schools' Pre-Kindergarten Information



Hamilton County Schools offer Pre-Kindergarten programs at several different locations.

The following criteria determines basic eligibility into the pre-kindergarten program for the 2023-2024 school year. All programs are designed to serve “at risk” children. One eligibility requirement for ALL Pre-K students is they MUST BE 4 YEARS OLD ON OR BEFORE AUGUST 15, 2023. For Pre-K classes located in HCDE schools, at least half of the students should be zoned for that school.

The application for the Pre-K program is available through the primary Hamilton County Department of Education website. Each submission will require certain documentation to be turned in along with the completed application.
