3rd Grade Student Schedule for Apison @ Home

3rd Grade AES @ Home Schedule

Parents and students please follow these guidelines for digital learning:

  • All students will be required to be online from 8:45-8:55 and 12:35-12:45. These are the 2 Student Check-In Times. Failure to join the online Zoom Conferences will result in your child being marked as absent for that day.
  • There are 4 Whole Group Lessons each day (Math, Science, Social Studies, & Literacy). These will be a mix of Zoom lessons and posted videos and/or student activity materials. The form each day’s lessons will take will be discussed during the 2 Student Check-In Times. The form of the next day’s lessons will also be posted for review in the Next Day Notices section of the Online Learning Platform. These posted notices will be for the following day’s lesson forms.
  • The times marked as “Selected Small Groups Online” will be for the teacher to meet with any students they require to attend. This will be done as needed and if no groups are required to meet this will change to Independent Work/Teacher Available times.
  • Independent Work/Teacher Available times will be for the students to work on their daily independent work activities and tasks. The teacher will have an open Zoom Conference during these times that any student may join for assistance as needed.
  • Each Teacher (Bevil & Painter) will have one separate Zoom Conference invite posted to the online student platform each day. The students will be able to join and leave these Conferences as required/needed during the school day.
    • Please note that Mr. Bevil will only be available between 8:45 – 12:00* each day and Mrs. Painter will only be available between 12:35 – 3:30* each day.
    • * Neither Mr. Bevil nor Mrs. Painter will be available during the times marked with Teacher Offline.
    • During the Related Arts time, the Related Arts teachers may host a separate Zoom Conference. If this is going to occur, it will be indicated in the daily update and student next day notices.
    • The Zoom Conferences will remain active during the indicated times, but the teacher may not be in the field of view of the camera. If you join and require assistance, remember to say something so the teacher knows you have joined.

Information about Whiteboards

AES @ Home Parents,

Many times during instruction, students use whiteboards with dry erase markers during lessons. This will be the case with AES @ Home as teachers work with students remotely.

Please use this LINK if you would like to purchase a white board like the one pictured below. I have linked Amazon, but these can be purchased at Office Depot, Staples, etc.

A Sample Whiteboard

Whiteboards can also be made from shower board (purchased at Home Depot or Lowe’s). The links below provide several examples of how you can create your own whiteboard for use at home.

Click HERE for directions on how to make a simple whiteboard out of sheet protectors.

Click HERE for directions on how to make 3 different whiteboards. (2 of these boards are larger boards that can be mounted on a wall)
